Military Posters & Prints

Since its beginning, war has inspired contemporary artists to create art as a means of reflection and introspection. The famed ancient battle of Thermopylae and the more modern Battle of Gettysburg have been interpreted by artists dozens of times. While not always accurate, wartime artwork often reflects the views of society on these great battles.

Likewise, propaganda posters and photographs used in war campaigns are a staple of all types of warfare. These images are collected by a small number of people, with most of the interest remaining in older pieces of propaganda, some dating as far back as the Civil War with the bulk of the items being from World War II.
