    Faberge Solid 84 Silver & Burnt Orange Guilloche Enamel Box W/Goldwashed Interior Workmaster Anders Nevalainen (1858-1933) - This gorgeous piece is made of solid 84 Russian silver (Pre-Revolution standard for silver), and is finished with an absolutely stunning burnt orange guilloche enamel. The interior of the piece is goldwashed, and the bottom is marked "Faberge" in Crylic, and bears the workmaster's initials. The piece has the workmaster mark "A.N" (Anders Nevalainen (1858-1933). Mr. Nevalainen is best known for his finishings of gold works, as it was he who did the gilt work on this piece. You will never see another piece like this, and it is truly the highest of investment quality. Measures: 70mm x 35mm

    Ebonized wood, 14K gold (56 zolotnik), pearls, enamel, rubies, silver Russia, circa 1900 Anders Juhaninpoika Nevalainen (1858-1933) - Finnish goldsmith and silversmith and Fabergé work master Hallmarked with the Kokoshnik mark of Anton Vasilijevitch Richter (Astrakhan 1899-1916), the fineness and the maker’s mark Rectangular wooden frame with golden, oval bezel that is set with small pearls; the wooden frame with three rubies in gold setting, as well as a miniature enamel order of St. Georg Containing a black and white photograph of Tsar Nicholas II in the uniform of the Welsh Guards Verso with remains of a gilt silver strut Dimensions of the frame: 10 x 8.5 cm; bezel: 5,5 x 4,5 cm Good condition Provenance: Private ownership, Great Britain Nevalainen was head of the Faberge workshop and master goldsmith since 1885 Estimate by Auctionata Expert: 7,000 Euro Condition: The frame is in good condition according to age, showing some slight signs of wear to the wooden frame. Two pearls are lacking. The gilding of the strut has been mostly rubbed off. The dimensions of the wooden frame are 10 x 8.5 cm, while the bezel measures 5.5 x 4.5 cm. Peter Carl Fabergé (1846-1920) In the course of rapid economic growth of the Belle Époque, the Russian jeweler industry experienced a golden era. Beyond this period a name stands out - Peter Carl Farbergé. Born in 1846, he grows up in Petersburg and Dresden. He received his training as a gold- and silversmith in Frankfurt, Hanau and Ida Oberstein. In addition, he collected important impressions of all genres on the Grand Tour. In 1872 he took over management of the family jewelry business and was its creative and entrepreneurial mind. The breakthrough came in 1882 as Fabergé presented copies of ancient jewelries at the Russian national show and the Imperial court became aware on the jeweler. Three years later, he was appointed as purveyor to the court. From now on skillful works was created, many of them ordered by the Tsar's family and the European courts. In 1918 Fabergé emigrated from Russia and dies in 1920 in Lusanne. Today his creations remain highly sought after by collectors.
