Taurus Revolvers

Taurus revolvers began in 1941 with the production of their first .38 special revolver. They were imported into the United States starting in 1968, presenting a very affordable revolver.

In 1971, the Bangor Punta Corporation owned both Smith & Wesson and Taurus. This allowed the two companies to share revolver design information. This is why Taurus and Smith & Wesson revolvers share a multitude of design features.

Taurus produces 12 different lines of revolvers that vary greatly. Their revolvers include concealed carry in standard and ultra-light models as well as revolvers for duty use and even heavy magnums for hunting. Taurus has made a number of innovations and has never been afraid to experiment with new design features.
