Cowboy Action Revolvers

The Single Action Shooting Society has popularized the weapons of the Old West and created and popularized the sport of cowboy-action shooting. Cowboy-action revolvers are single-action revolvers that populated the Old West.

Cowboy-action revolvers include weapons designed by Colt, Smith & Wesson, Remington, and dozens of other small companies including Whitney. Cowboy-action revolvers are often painstakingly replicated to resemble and function like their original designs.

The only changes made to cowboy-action revolvers are in the name of safety, usually in the form of drop safe transfer bars. Companies including Uberti, EAA, and E.M.F. produce affordable replicas of classic Western revolvers for cowboy-action shooting. These weapons resemble their classic counterparts down to their finishes, barrel length options, and calibers.
