          Voltz (Johann Michael) Bilder- Alphabet zur Erweckung des Scharfsinns Viele Original-Darstellungen nach jedem Buchstaben in 24 Gema älden, hand-coloured lithographed title and 24 fine hand-coloured lithographed plates, 2 lithographed tables providing solutions at rear, title and a few early plates neatly mounted on stubs, some very slight toning or marginal marking but very crisp and clean generally, modern half calf, folio, Nuremburg, Renner, [c.1838]. ⁂ A bright copy of this rare and charming work in the more desirable large edition. We can trace no other complete copies at auction. Each plate represents a letter of the alphabet with numerous objects and actions beginning with the relevant letter, two tables at the back list the words applying to each plate.
