    DOMENICO VENTURA (1812-1896) « Le Prince impérial en uniforme au Zoulouland » Miniature ovale sur ivoire, signée en bas à gauche. Présentée sous verre, cerclée de laiton à décor de feuilles d’acanthe et de feuilles d’eau, dans un cadre à suspendre plaqué d’acajou. 8,5 x 6,5. Cadre : 18 x 15 cm. B.E. Historique : Ventura a exécuté notamment les portraits de la famille royale italienne. Il reprend ici le dernier portrait photographique du Prince, fait au Zoulouland, peu avant sa mort.
