Umberto I, King of Italy (1844-1900), in black coat with red-bordered silver collar, wearing the gold jewel and breast star of the Royal Sardinian Order of the Most Sacred Annunciation, the blue and red striped moiré sash of the Military Order of Savoy and the badge of the Royal Italian Medal of Independency (of 1865)
signed and dated 'Ventura dip' (lower left) and 'Roma 1882' (mid-right)
oval, 1 11/16 in. (4.2 cm.) high, gilt-metal mount
