Signed and titled in the printing plate below the image Date: c. 1850 Description: On the occasion of the unveiling of the Bavaria in 1850, well-known artists donated their works to the Bavarian King Ludwig I. The present sheet is from the King Ludwig's Album series, which contained graphic reproductions of those works of art. It shows a view from "Alter Peter", the tower of Munich's oldest parish church with its characteristic railings, looking north-west over the city of Munich.
