Springfield Armory Rifles

The old Springfield Armory armed the United States military from 1777 to 1968 with a wide variety of high-quality weapons ranging from swords to their famed rifles. In that time, Springfield Armory and their cross-cannon insignia became well known and synonymous with quality and dependability.

Springfield Armory officially shut their doors in 1968. The last rifle that came off the line was the famed M14.

While no longer produced at the old armory, the Springfield brand was purchased in 1974 by a private company and is still in business to this day. The new Springfield Armory has manufactured high-quality M14s, also known as M1As, M1 Garands, and a heavily modified and modernized M1A known as the Socom 16. Springfield’s rifles are still well received and considered to be some of the most well-made rifles in the United States.
