Michael Glancy Glass

Michael Glancy is world renowned for his contemporary art glass. Creating his masterpieces in Reheboth, Massachusetts, Glancy has been a featured participant in international exhibitions and continues to be in demand by collectors around the globe.

First experimenting with glass while an undergraduate at the University of Denver in the early '70s, Glancy continued his training under Dale Chihuly at the Rhode Island School of Design. It was with Chihuly that Glancy embraced the eclectic design he has since channeled into his pieces.

While his cast glass pieces have earned Glancy acclaim, particular attention has been paid to his mixed media works in both glass and metal. In these abstract compositions, Glancy renders remarkable intersections between the two media that result in visually dazzling, sculptural works that range from strict geometries to more organic or amorphous forms. Complemented with bold, rich color, Glancy's work is one of the most novel approaches to art glass available on the market today.
