Men's Diamond & 14K Gold Rings

The allure of both gold and diamonds can be traced to the earliest cultures of the ancient world. Emerging within a century of each other, gold and diamonds both incorporated into designs for jewelry and adornment.

As jewelry designs became increasingly refined, diamond and gold rings grew in finesse. Gold, for example, was incredibly malleable when in its pure state, so metalworkers came to realize that the gold could better hold its shape while withstanding impact when it was mixed with small percentages of metal alloy. Thus the karat system of fineness was born, with 14 karat, or 75 percent pure gold, serving as the standard for most jewelry production.

Gem cutting also became more refined, with jewelry makers discovering that the faceting of a stone could help unveil its brilliance. All of these evolutions contributed to the men’s diamond and 14 karat gold rings available today, making them equal parts design and dazzle.
