The expressionist artist Arnold Topp was a member of the artists' group Der Sturm. Along with the work of other important expressionist and modern artists, his paintings were shown in the exhibition "Entartete Kunst" (1937). In 1945 he was drafted into the Volkssturm and as of then was reported as missing. His wife Elsa Topp declared him officially dead in 1961. - Some gold paint marks in lower corners, minimal oxidation mirroring in lower edge, otherwise in very good condition.
