Rubartelli, Franco Veruschka Veruschka. Late 1960s. Vintage gelatin silver print. 43 x 35,5 cm. Photographer's/copyright stamp on the verso. Born in Florence in 1937, Franco Rubartelli gained international prominence as a fashion photographer beginning with his 1965 editorials for Linea Italiana, and French, English and Italian Vogue, the most famous of which featured the German model Vera Gottliebe von Lehndorff, aka Veruschka, with whom he began working in 1963. The two artists worked together in Italy, then New York and then back in Italy in 1967, where they lived together in Rome. They produced numerous features for Vogue and the other CondÚ Nast magazines over the following years. - Minimal buckling in upper and lower edges, a few small handling crease marks, light mark in upper left corner from paper clip, otherwise an attractive large print in good condition.
