Very good condition

This later print on RC paper shows the actress Romy Schneider in a cloak with a thoughtful expression sitting at a table. The picture dates from 1961 and was made by the German photographer and actor Roger Fritz.

The black and white photography is inscribed, signed and monogrammed lower right with black felt pen ‘B2 Roger Fritz RF’. The reverse sheet corners are mounted on supporting cardboard. The sheet is in very good condition. It measures 50.8 x 40.8 cm.

Roger Fritz
Born in Mannheim in 1936 he started as an amateur photographer in the 1950s. In 1954 he was assistant to photographer Herbert List and soon stared his own career as a photographer. The breakthrough came in 1954 and 1956 with the Photokina prizes. In the following years he traveled a lot for numerous magazines such as the Stern, Jour de Franc, Münchner Illustrierte and the French Vogue. In the 80s and 90s he contributed as director and actor in various film projects. (fea)
