Portrait of William S. Burroughs, New York, 1981. Vintage gelatin silver print on RC paper. 25,3 x 20,2 cm. Image masked with black tape and stamped Marcia Resnick (address crossed out, new address written in), annotated by the photographer in ink on the verso.
A work print used for publication which the photographer cropped and framed with black tape around the image. This photograph was taken as part of a series Resnick made in the late 1970s and early 80s entitled Bad Boys. Punks, Poets, and Provocateurs, which were later exhibited under the same name. - Some signs of handling along the edges, bumped corners, upper right and lower left corner slightly folded, slight crease on the lower center of the image, small discoloration center of image, otherwise in very good condition.
