One of the sheets signed and dated ‘Cabrita 97’ in pencil; another sheet numbered ‘7/60’ and the third sheet dated and inscribed ‘Vienna 9.II.97’

The works of Pedro Cabrita Reis, one of the most important contemporary artists of Portugal, show an influence of Minimal Art and Arte Povera
Object is regular taxed. 19% VAT is added to the purchase price for deliveries within the EU

Condition:
The sheets are in very good condition, showing some minor finger marks on the reverse.

Pedro Cabrita Reis (b. 1956)
Born in Lisbon, Pedro Cabrita Reis is well known for his large-scale installations that deal with the themes of housing, construction and territory. He studied at Saint Martin's School of Art, the Chelsea School of Art, the Royal College of Art in London, the Architectural Academy in Illinois, Chicago, the Jan Van Eyck Academy in Maastricht, and the Graduate School of Architecture, Painting and Preservation at Columbia University.

In 1992, Cabrita Reis exhibited works at the documenta IX in Kassel; in 2003, he represented Portugal at the Venice Biennale. In 2009, the Hamburg Kunsthalle organized a retrospective to his honor. Cabrita Reis was also involved in the decoration of the Lisbon Metro station Olaias. (cko)
