Pair of rare 1920s Chinese military presentation binoculars made by Carl Zeiss inscribed in Chinese - presented by General Bai Chongxi (1893-1966) to Captain Henry Tippett in memory of completing the Northern Expedition of the Beifa War in September 1928 - complete with canvas covered leather case. (Promoted Colonel, Tippett became a Chinese Interpreter for the Indian Army and was a regular visitor to Bletchley Park during the period 1941-1945) - sold with provenance
