Akamatsu Danjō (赤松弾正) was a Samurai of the Akamatsu Clan during the Kamakura period.

Katsukawa Shuntei I (川勝 春亭) 1770-1824, lived in Kanda Izumicho and went to the Katsugawa school where he learned under Kastugawa Shun'ei. He was a fore runner for a new style of warrior print, illustrating entire battle scenes across all three sheets of an oban-size triptych, a style which influenced future artists like Kuniyoshi.
