Far less aggressively sunny than the previous poster though certainly centrally radiant this Hernandez 'Sol' poster calls our attention to Jibacoa, a fishing village in the Havana Province located in the municipality of Santa Cruz del Norte at the mouth of the Rio Jibacoa. Perhaps Hernandez's greatest graphic quality is his ability to make static images appear as if they were in motion swirling, active elements capable of surging past the boundaries of the poster. Here, it's the waves that get most of the play, which appear to be a bit too turbulent for a casual day of sailing. In the 1990s, an all-inclusive resort was built east of the village one of the first openings of Cuban economy to foreign investments.
