Description

Goro Tsuruta (Japanese, 1890-1969): Ohira Toge, Shinshu - Rainy day at Ohira Pass in Shinshu.
Publisher: Kato Junji, 1936.
Tsuruta Goro was a Japanese artist, active as an illustrator, a woodblock artist and painter. In 1910s lived in Korea and Siberia. In the 1920 designed woodblock prints for Kato Junji and Sakai-Kawaguchi publishing houses. In 1940s, Goro was a co-founder of the Nihon Sanrin Bijutsu Kyokai.
