Lot 45: Finnish Coast

Oscar Kleineh Helsinki 1846 - Helsinki 1919 , Finnish Coast, Oil/canvas, 27,5 x 46,5 cm, lo. ri. sign. O. Kleineh., Finnish marine a. landscape painter. K. began studying in Helsinki. 1866/67 he continued his studies at the Düsseldorf academy, like so many other scandinavian students. Thereafter he went to St. Petersburg where he was awarded a silver medal of the academy in 1872. He lived in Paris 1881-85 before returning to Helsinki.
