Circa 1853/54 Durieu photographed female and male nudes which the painter Delacroix used as models for his work. Durieu was a founding member of the Société héliographique 1851 and the Société française de photographie 1854 and strongly advocated photography as an art. - One slightly faded, otherwise in good condition and rare early prints.
