Oil on canvas, 76 x 60 cm, lo. ri. sign. Jacobs, verso with title Flötenkind on the canvas, min. rest. - German painter and graphic artist. J. studied at Hamburg and Altona arts schools from 1924 to 1926, did study trips to Italy and Paris and was friends with K. Kluth. J.'s work was classified as degenerate by the National Socialists. In 1943 the bigger part of her oeuvre burned.
