Southern German landscape in snow. 1963. Vintage ferrotyped gelatin silver print. 19,5 x 29,5 cm. Photographer's stamp, signed, dated and annotated in pencil by the photographer on the verso.
Albrecht Brugger is one of the most prolific and well-known European aerial photographers. In 1954 he received his aerial license and as of 1962 he worked with a self-constructed aerial camera which allowed him to make exceptionally precise shots from a long distance. His photos have illustrated many books, were shown in several exhibitions and in 1961 the MoMA in New York purchased one of his photographs. - A few handling creases, otherwise in very good condition.
