Description

Schwäbische Alb bei Tutlingen. 1958. Vintage ferrotyped gelatin silver print on Agfa paper. 20 x 28,7 cm. Photographer's stamp, signed, dated and editioned 2/7 by the photographer in pencil on the verso.
Albrecht Brugger is one of the most prolific and well-known European aerial photographers. In 1954 he received his aerial license and as of 1962 he worked with a self-constructed aerial camera which allowed him to make exceptionally precise shots from a long distance. His photos have illustrated many books, were shown in several exhibitions and in 1961 the MoMA in New York purchased one of his photographs. - A few light handling crease marks, otherwise in very good condition.
