Brandt, Christian Friedrich : Views of Flensburg Views of Flensburg. Before 1865. 4 albumen prints. Each circa 8 x 9,8 cm. Each mounted to original card (slight traces of use), with ornamental border around and photographer's name and title printed below the image on the mounts, with Danish paper label Sundby & Jespersens on the verso of mounts.
C. F. Brandt participated in the International Photography Exhibition in Berlin in 1865 and received a medal for his exceptional landscapes which measured 8 x 9,5 cm and 16 x 22 cm. These are probably some of the earliest known views of Flensburg. - Two slightly faded and with a few light scuff marks, two with strong violet brown tone and in very good condition.
