Lot 12: Anna Tessenow (b. 1978), Zincography, ‘Fliegermütze’, 2007

Unlike the prints from the year 2008, in this zincography the colors are muted. A light yellow, light orange, mixed with white, and blue determine the coloring. Several figural representations contrast with the flat colors.

The zincography is signed and dated lower right in pencil ‘A. Tessenow 2007’, inscribed lower right in pencil ‘e.a. II’ and titled lower center in pencil ‘Fliegermütze’. The sheet bears occasional handling creases. It is rolled and in good condition. The image measures 70.3 x 49.7 cm, the sheet 80.2 x 60.2 cm.

Anna Tessenow (b. 1978)
The artist Anna Tessenow, born in Markranstädt and raised in Güstrow in Mecklenburg, began her studies in 1996 at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig in the class of Prof. Arno Rink. After her graduation, which she received in 2002, she became a master student under Rink in 2005. As part of a scholarship she created 14 large paintings and four motives for graphics for the art'otel anna tessenow Leipzig in 2007/2008. Up to date, Anna Tessenow work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions. The artist lives and works in Leipzig. (fea)
