Very good condition

The childhood is a central subject in Lippoth’s photographic oeuvre. He portrays child athletes, dancers, soldiers and monks. His works, which he referred to as ‘staged reportage photography’, point to the contrast between the child's spontaneous actions and educated behaviors.

Condition:
The photograph is in very good condition, showing some light superficial scratches. The dimensions are 119.5 x 89.5 cm.

Achim Lippoth (born 1968)
From 1985 to 1986, Achim Lippoth attended the Byrom College in Manchester. Afterwards, he studied Art at the University of Cologne from 1986 to 1992. During his studies, he became he self-taught photographer. Since 1992, he has been working as a freelance photographer and, since 1998, as a director for international film productions. Lippoth is the founder and editor of the internationally distributed magazine ‘kid's wear’, which collaborated with well-known photographers, including Anton Corbijn, Nan Goldin and Olivieri Toscani. Lippoth’s photographs have been published by the Stern, the New York Times Magazine, Life, Vogue and other major magazines. The photographer is represented by several galleries, including the Fahey/Klein Gallery in Los Angeles, the Catherine Edelman Gallery, Chicago, the Paris-Beijing Gallery in Paris and the Shay Arye Gallery in Tel Aviv.
