Scarce T.L.S. 1p. 4to., Armonk, Jan. 17, 1968, on his personal letterhead to William D. Patterson of the Saturday Review. In part: "…Thank you for your recent letter and enclosed copy of the January 13th issue of SATURDAY REVIEW. I am delighted that Mr. J. Irwin Miller has been selected as SATURDAY REVIEWS's Business of the Year…". Fine.

    Thomas J. Watson: Founder of IBM, he built it into one of the most powerful companies in the world, was one of the richest men of his time and called the world's greatest salesman when he died. TLS signed "Thos. J. Watson," one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, August 21, 1952. Letter to a collector. In part: "I have noted all that you say in connection with writing to me requesting a signed photograph. We have made a thorough search of our files and have been unable to locate the letter about which you speak. It must have gone astray." Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. In fine condition, with very faint toning along folds.
