      Taisho Period (1915) A porcelain jar A squat porcelain jar, thickly potted with a wide base and generously proportioned body narrowing to a short neck, decorated in underglaze blue with simple floral motifs and bands and rings of solid colour 7 13/16in. (19.8cm.) high NOTES Wood storage box dated December 1966 and attributing the jar to 1915 by Yamada Toru, during the period when Tomimoto returned from England and set up a kiln at his home town of Ando near Nara.
