    Silver. Tall, two-piece hollow stem with blossom and instrument relief. German hallmark for 800 silver. Interior seal lacquer. The seal matrix with cut monogram "M" over mirrored cipher "T" and under a prince's crown. Overall height 13.7 cm, weight 70 g. Also a letter of the princess to Princess Louise of Bavaria (Prince Alfons of Bavaria's second wife) from 1937 with original envelope bearing on the back a gold lacquer imprint of the present seal. Princess Margarethe von Thurn und Taxis, daughter of the Austrian Archduke Joseph Karl Ludwig, married Prince Albert I von Thurn und Taxis in 1890. Provenance: ZAM - Zentrum für Außergewöhnliche Museen, München (Centre for Exceptional Museums, Munich). Displayed under inventory number 7 in the special exhibition "Das Siegel in meiner Hand - Petschaften bedeutender Persönlichkeiten des 18., 19. und des frühen 20. Jahrhunderts" from 23rd July to 15th Nov. 2001. With the exhibition, the former inventory cards, and a copy of a press release from the former museum director with information on the exhibition.

    Erzherzogin Margarethe Klementine, Fürstin von Thurn und Taxis (1870 - 1955) - persönliches Silberpetschaft. Silber. Hoher, zweiteilig hohl gearbeiteter Schaft mit reliefiertem Blüten- und Instrumentendekor. Deutsche Feingehaltspunze für 800er Silber. Innen Siegellack. Die Siegelfläche mit geschnittenem Monogramm "M" über gespiegeltem "T" und unter Fürstenhut. Gesamthöhe 13,7 cm, Gewicht 70 g. Dazu ein Brief der Fürstin an die Prinzessin Louise von Bayern (2. Gemahlin des Prinzen Alfons von Bayern) aus dem Jahr 1937 mit Originalkuvert, dieses rs. in Goldlack mit diesem Petschaft gesiegelt. Fürstin Margarethe von Thurn und Taxis, Tochter des österreichischen Erzherzogs Joseph Karl Ludwig, heiratete 1890 den Fürsten Albert I. von Thurn und Taxis. Provenienz: ZAM - Zentrum für Außergewöhnliche Museen, München. Ausgestellt unter der Inventarnummer 7 in der Sonderausstellung "Das Siegel in meiner Hand - Petschaften bedeutender Persönlichkeiten des 18., 19. und des frühen 20. Jhdts." vom 23.7. bis 15.11.2001. Dazu die ehemaligen Ausstellungs- und das Inventarkärtchen sowie in Kopie ein Presseschreiben für die Ausstellung der damaligen Museumsleiterin.
