"Storch 18. II 1911". Zaskleno. Anton Josef Storch studoval malbu na Akademii výtvarných umění ve Vídni pod vedením Josefa Jungwirtha (1910-1914) a Kasimira Pochwalskiho (1914-1917) a v tomto období podnikl mnoho studijních cest po celé Evropě. Jeho dílo je různorodé - maloval krajiny, portréty, žánrové scény i zátiší a věnoval se také grafice a umělecké kritice. Na počátku své kariéry byla jeho tvorba ovlivněna impresionismem, později se však stal věrný spíše expresionismu. Roku 1911 získal vyznamenání od Wiener Künstlerhaus a roku 1914 zlatou medaili (Goldene Füger) za krajinomalbu. Účastnil se mnoha výstav během první světové války, mimo jiné ve Wiener Künstlerhausu, Hagenbundu či Sezession. The viewer looks over a lake getting a glance of a nearby village on the shore in front of snow peaked mountains. The sky seems a bit overcast, however the light is reflected by quick, luminous paint strokes on the mountain tops and the water surface. The painting is signed lower right ‘A. Storch’ and is in good condition. The canvas is laid down on cardboard. The surface partially slightly rubbed, otherwise overall of good impression. The image size is 31 x 42 cm, the framed dimensions are 47 x 59 cm. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
