    Smith (Henry) [Sermons], 3 parts in 1, woodcut printer's device to titles of parts 1 & 2, woodcut head-pieces and decorative initials, first part 2T4 blank, third part X3&4 blank, part1 ?lacking a sig. A, part 3 (Jonah) lacking title and N2, trimmed at head, affecting headlines, the odd small marginal repair, some spotting and staining, lightly browned throughout, modern red morocco-backed cloth, gilt spine in compartments, [cf. STC 22727 & 22721], 8vo, Richard Field for Robert Dexter [but ?Widdow Orwin for Thomas Man (as per imprint of second part)], 1596 [?but later]. sold not subject to return. *** The second part is 'The Lawyers Question', 'Printed by the 'Widdow Orwin, for Thomas Man. 1595', and the third part contains the sermons relating to Jonah. We cannot locate an edition of the sermons with our pagination.  Provenance: 'Mrs. Sally ?' (17th century ink inscription to front free endpaper); 'Daniell Midwinter, 1660' (ink inscription to blank 2T4); 'Daniell Caton his Book' (17th century ink inscription to final blank').
