YAMAHA V-MAX X HERMES 2011 Carte grise française Châssis N°: JYARP12000001148 Provenance : Jean-Claude Olivier, président-fondateur de Yamaha France Seulement 1446 Km d'origine 5 exemplaires produits Cette Yamaha dénommée V-MAX, pour vitesse maximale dans le jargon technique, est le fruit du designer anglais John Reed. Alors exilé en Californie, il réalise pour Yamaha, qui souhaite renforcer sa présence sur le marché américain, une moto connue sous le nom de The Ultimate Custom Bike. Croisée avec un véritable Dragster, cette moto utilise la partie cycle de la Yamaha 1200 Venture et un très puissant 4 cylindres en V de 1200 cm3. Elle fut présentée au salon de Las Vegas de 1984 et le succès fut immédiat. Alors réservée pour les marchés américain et nippon, Jean-Claude Olivier, président-fondateur de Yamaha Motor France, fit le forcing auprès des dirigeants japonais afin d'en obtenir la commercialisation pour la France et en 1986, 10 exemplaires lui furent enfin confiés. Il eut la bonne idée d'en prêter à quelques personnalités du show-biz pour circuler sur les routes encombrées de Saint-Tropez et les commandes affluèrent ; à ce jour, la France demeure le second marché après les Etats-Unis pour ce modèle. En 1969, cinq ans après la création de sa société, Jean-Claude Olivier avait déjà confié une Yamaha Trail AT1 à Brigitte Bardot afin de créer une approche élitiste de la marque. De même, un exemplaire unique sur base de Yamaha VIRAGO habillé de buffle Skipper par la maison Hermès avait fait l'objet d'une première collaboration en 1993. Jean-Claude Olivier fut un excellent entrepreneur, à la fois pilote et promoteur de la Moto verte, découvreur de talents (Pons, Sarron, Peterhansel et Vimond), organisateur de compétitions et stimulateur du sport motocycliste en France. Un des hommes les plus respectés dans ce milieu, il resta 45 ans à la tête de son entreprise Yamaha Motor France, après avoir participé au Bol d'Or en 1969, au Paris-Dakar 9 fois (second en 1985 et 6 fois classé), 25 fois au très difficile Enduro du Touquet, terminant 15 fois dans les 20 premiers. La motocyclette présentée fut offerte à Jean-Claude Olivier comme cadeau de départ alors qu'il passait la main à Eric de Seynes, également président du conseil de surveillance d'Hermès, mais avant tout grand passionné de moto. Il s'agit de la seconde version de la V-MAX, présentée au salon espagnol de 2008. Entièrement redessinée (cadre, suspensions, freins, équipements) tout en gardant son ADN d'origine, le moteur de 1700 cm3 à injection développe maintenant 200 chevaux ! Cette version, entièrement revisitée esthétiquement par la maison Hermès et disponible sur commande, fut produite à 5 exemplaires. Cette V-MAX, vendue 44 500 € en 2010, c'est-à-dire beaucoup plus que sa version simple, est devenue un objet de convoitise et de collection (Gérard Depardieu en commandât une). Tous les éléments de carrosserie sont recouverts de buffle Skipper, cuir le plus résistant pour ce genre d'utilisation. De couleur noire & chocolat et d'aspect grainé, il gaine la selle, les garde-boues, les poignées, la tête de fourche, la clef de contact, le compteur et même les pots d'échappement. Les carters latéraux en métal brossé, les leviers rétractables et les rétroviseurs en aluminium sont spécifiques tandis que les sigles V-MAX et la signature de Jean-Claude Olivier sont embossés. Un casque Jet de marque Arai de taille XL recouvert de cuir bicolore et siglé Hermès est fourni muni de sa housse d'origine siglée V-MAX. Cette V-MAX ne totalise que 1 446 km et a fait l'objet d'une révision de routine annuelle chez Yamaha. La dernière monture d'un véritable gentleman. La moto pourra être gracieusement révisée et contrôlée dans les ateliers de Yamaha Motor France. A cette occasion, il sera également proposé à l'acquéreur de mettre la moto en configuration " 200 chevaux " au lieu de la configuration " 106 chevaux " prévue pour répondre à la réglementation en vigueur jusqu'en 2016 en France (modification technique et administrative).
