- KNIP, August (Dutch 1819 - 1859/1861). A riverside pasture, 1847. Oil on canvas, signed and dated 'August Knip. facit 1847' (lower left). Craquelure throughout, some retouches in the sky (horizontal line upper centre and vertical one right from the tree), several scattered spots of surface grime (including white droplets of paint), light imprint of the stretcher, lower edge rubbed by a former frame, overall in good condition.
