      909. "COLLIER'S COPS" JAY IRVING (1900-1970) American cartoonist best known for his weekly comic strip Collier's Cops, a 13-year association with Collier's Weekly begun in 1932; among his other comic strips were Bozo Blimp, Willie Doodle, and his highly popular Pottsy strip which was syndicated by The Tribune-News Syndicate from 1946 until 1970.
