[Waterlow and Sons Limited, London.] Condition B: replaced losses and overpainting in margins; restoration along extensive repaired tears and creases in margins and image and along vertical fold; abrasions in image; restored punch holes in corners. This poster "was also available as a jigsaw puzzle containing 150 pieces and costing two shillings and sixpense" (Railway p. 37). "The colouring here is exquisite, with the starkness of the brooding hills punctuated by sunlight on the slopes" (Furness vol. 8, p. 26). rare.
