  • BEDŘICH FEUERSTEIN 1892 - 1936 - VISTA OF THE SEA WITH A SHIP
    Jun. 14, 2022

BEDŘICH FEUERSTEIN 1892 - 1936 - VISTA OF THE SEA WITH A SHIP

    Est: -

From the opinion of PhDr. Rea Michalová PhD .: "The presented work is an authentic, very rare and highly purist work by Bedřich Feuerstein, a versatile artist and globetrotter who spent part of his life in Paris alongside Pablo Picasso, Adolf Loos or Le Corbusier, in the field of architecture he conquered Japan and whose work for the theater is one of the top manifestations of interwar avant-garde scenography in our country. The assessed work The View of the Sea with a Ship originates at the beginning of Feuerstein's promising artistic career and is a representative work that applies the principles of the author's new avant-garde aesthetics, drawing lessons from Cubism and especially from Ozenfant and Jeanneret (Le Corbusier) purism. Despite the unmistakable reduction in shape, the work perfectly transposes the architectural and natural character of the sunny French-Spanish border. It's a dream come true in bold colors and stylized shapes. " Technique: Watercolour, paper, Signed: Lower right "B Feuerstein"
