Vintage signed and inscribed 7 x 9 photograph by Printemps, the image depicting the French artist in a half length pose, wearing an attractive hat. Signed in bold blue ink to a clear area at the base of the image, adding beneath the date 1949 in her hand. VG £60-90 Inscribed `Pour Monsieur Alfred Ferrari, avec tous mes voeux, Yvonne Printemps´. Alfredo Ferrari (1932-1956) Italian automotive engineer and elder son of Enzo Ferrari the founder of the automobile marque. Alfredo died at the very early age of 24.

Très dense, intime et personnelle correspondance entre la dernière femme de Sacha Guitry et Clément Duhour. Les lettres sont la preuve d'une amitié profonde, libéré et précieuse où reste toujours la présence irremplaçable de Sacha Guitry. Cet immense échange en est le miroir. J'ai tellement besoin d'entendre autre chose où de ne plus rien entendre. Vous êtes le seul à savoir combien je suis malheureuse, contrainte et torturée. Ma main se tend vers le téléphone, mais je ne puis vous téléphoner pour avoir moins peur de la nuit de cette chambre vide, de ma solitude, et de l'ombre de mon Sacha, mon petit Sacha. Les roses lentement se fanent dans ma chambre. Les pétales un à un s'effeuillent dans la nuit. Je les entends qui tombent et j'ai l'impression que c'est un peu de ma vie qui passe. Je vous cherche, j'ai besoin de vous très simplement assis près de moi. Pour veiller sur moi et me rassurer. Sa petite calotte de velours et la photo ou justement il est représenté avec. Son encrier (dont il ne se servait pas). Son dernier manuscrit. Ses bagues. Ses lunettes. Premier bulletin des Auteurs et compositeurs dramatiques du 16 avril 1909 etc. etc.
