        Southern Belgium. Theodorus Danckerts, Novissima et Accuratissima Namurci Comitatus Tabula in Lucem Edita, 1680 (circa). Hand Color. Centered on Namur, this map includes the cities of Huy, Hannut, Charleroi, Dinant, Givet and the fort of Charlemont, which are depicted as miniature fortified plans. Detail includes tiny towns, roads, forests and the Meuse River. The map is embellished with a plinth-style title cartouche with putti holding aloft Namur's coat of arms, and a woman offering a piece of fruit to a celestial figure.

        English Channel. Theodorus Danckerts, Novissima et Accuratissima Canalis Inter Angliae et Galliae Tabula cum Omnibus suis Portibus, Arenis et Profundis, 1695 (circa). Hand Color. Magnificent chart of the channel and portions of England and France. The beautiful chart is filled with rhumb lines and two compass roses. Sandbanks, anchorages, soundings, and hazards are all meticulously noted. Three important sea battles are marked by crossed swords and dates: 1666 (Four Days Battle), 1690 (Battle of Beachy Head) and 1692 (Battle of La Hogue). Putti cavort around the cartouche, which is topped by a seated warrior maiden.
