Image: 27.5" H x 35.5" W; frame: 33" H x 41" W. Provenance: Property from an Upper East Side townhouse.

        Autograph Postcard Signed ("S. Butler"), 1 p, 3 by 5 inches, [London], February 2, 1885, to Mr. Danvers, moderate toning, corners bumped. Butler declines the offer of music: "You see I make my own music now and really cannot bestow much time on an insignificant writer like Handel." He also mentions his brother's recent death. Provenance: Estate of Charles Williamson and Tucker Fleming.
