During the First World War, 'Nettoyeurs' or cleaners had to kill any surviving soldiers in the enemy trenches. Bronze: H 19,5 cm

Belle mascotte « Pégase » par Gaston Broquet pour les Automobiles Buchet, France, circa 1911, représentant le cheval ailé Pégase de style « rococo », monogramme VB (Victor Buchet) du constructeur sur le devant de la base, signée, en bronze, frappée 137, hauteur 12 cm. Les automobiles Buchet furent produites de 1911 à 1929 en France. Il existe de notables différences entre cet exemplaire ancien et la version plus récente de 1920 – 1925 sans le logo Buchet. Illustrée dans les ouvrages « Motoring Mascots of the World » de William C. Williams page 103 et « Bouchons de radiateur » par Dominique Pascal, page 240. A FINE PEGASUS MASCOT BY GASTON BROQUET FOR BUCHET CARS, FRENCH, CIRCA 1911, depicting a Rococo designed winged Pegasus, maker's monogram of VB (Victor Buchet) to the front of the base, signed, bronze, stamped 137, 12 cm high. Buchet cars were made from 1911-1929 in France. There are marked differences between this early example and the 1920-1925 later version without the Buchet logo. Illustrated in William C. Williams ' Motoring Mascots of the World' Page 103, number 396, and on Page 240, 'Bouchons De Radiator' by Dominique Pascal.
