      Attributed to Pieter van den Bosch, Dutch 1612/3-c.1663/83- Grapes, a pear, an apple, a lemon, oysters and a silver-gilt cup in a stone niche; oil on panel, 67.5x52cmProvenance: Christie’s, London, 30th April, 2010, lot 34, where Fred Meijer of the RKD had proposed the attribution of Pieter van den Bosch.Note: The picture presents a prestigious luxury item, a German silver-gilt, lobed, gourd-shaped cup and cover with a warrior finial holding a pike and shield, the shield engraved with the ownership initials PB with a cross device between, probably a Nuremberg goldsmith's work of circa 1620.
