A GEORGE II SILVER BASKET MARK OF EDWARD ALDRIDGE AND EDWARD STAMPER, LONDON, 1755 Shaped oval and on spreading pierced skirt foot, with twisted wire rim above pierced lattice sides, with overhead openwork handle, engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked near rim, the base further engraved with a scratchweight '27=10' 13 in. (33 cm.) wide 26 oz. (809.5 gr.) The arms are those of FitzHerbert impaling Perrin, for William FitzHerbert (1748-1791) and his wife Sarah (d.1791), only daughter of William Perrin of Jamaica, who he married in 1777. William was later created a baronet in 1784.
