        (1845 Paris - 1924 Neuilly-sur-Seine) "La muse des bois" (Die Muse des Waldes). Originaltitel Bronze, vergoldet bzw. dunkelbraun patiniert. Grüner, rot geäderter Onyxsockel. Sign.; Gießerstempel "FONDEUR SIOT-DECAUVILLE PARIS". Art Nouveau-Aktstatuette einer Nymphe mit zwei Flöten, sich mit der Schulter an einen Baum lehnend. Albert-Lefeuvre war ein Schüler von Auguste Dumont und Alexandre Falguière an der École des Beaux-Arts in Paris; seit 1875 stellte er vielfach im Salon aus, 1900 beteiligte er sich auch an der Weltausstellung in Paris. Seine Bronzen wurden von den renommierten Kunstgießereien Siot-Decauville und Barbedienne ausgeführt. Eine 1894 entstandene Marmorversion von "Muse des bois" befindet sich im Musée d'arts de Nantes. H. 27,2 cm; Ges.-H. 36,2 cm. Provenienz: Alte süddeutsche Privatsammlung. Gilt and dark brown patinated bronze, onyx base. Signed. Foundry stamp "FONDEUR SIOT-DECAUVILLE PARIS".
