Accompanied by a Guarantee Paper from the Yuyu Yang Foundation

In the 1970s, Yuyu Yang began to create highly conceptual stainless steel sculptures. He started to work on new subject matters relating to dragons, phoenixes, the sun and the moon and tended to work in a simplified style, focussing on the imaginary in the natural world. For example, the dragon is a creature that has existed in Chinese mythology for thousands of years. In Dragon's Psalm, Yang brings life to this ancient form through a simple, powerful shape. Seated, spiralled and winding, the undulating lines of the sculpture move naturally like the cadence of a psalm in which mankind's imagination of the beauty of nature can quietly meander. Due to the reflective quality of stainless steel, the viewer shines in the exterior of the sculpture and is intertwined with the artist's imagination.
