19th century
Four surimono comprising: a shikishiban by Shigenobu, depicting Tobosaku stealing the peaches of longevity from Seiobo, with a kyoka poem on the left, signed with seal of Yanagawa; two double yokonagaban, one by Gochu depicting quails at sunrise, and the other by an unknown artist depicting turtles and a pine tree, the background of both sheets filled entirely with several haiku poems; the last oban depicting with botan flowers against a background of several haiku poems, signed Hoko. The smallest 21.5cm x 18.5cm (8½in x 7¼in), the largest 39cm x 52cm (15 3/8in x 20½in). (4).
