Kakejiku, in ink, colour and gold on paper, depicting a grasshopper camouflaged amongst Autumnal foliage, signed Koka with seal Toyonari, with tomobako titled and signed by the artist with seal. 45cm x 63.5cm (17¾in x 25in). (2).

Yamamura Koka was a Japanese-style painter, printmaker and pupil of Ogata Gekko. He graduated from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1909. His work was shown at Exhibitions of the Bunten and the Inten. He was a member of the Nihon Bijutsuin.
