Oil/artist's board, 29,5 x 37,5 cm. - Prov.: Estate of the artist. - Paintress a. graphic artist, studied at the Hamburg a. Altona schools of applied arts from 1924-26, study trips to Italy a. Paris, friends with K. Kluth, her art was defamed as degenerate by the Nazis, in 1943 the major part of her oeuvre was lost. - Mus.: Hamburg (Kunsthalle), Solingen, New York. - Lit.: Der Neue Rump, Bruhns a. others. - German painter and graphic artist. J. studied at Hamburg and Altona arts schools from 1924 to 1926, did study trips to Italy and Paris and was friends with K. Kluth. J.'s work was classified as degenerate by the National Socialists. In 1943 the bigger part of her oeuvre burned.
