William Timym (Austrian 1920-1990) Pen and ink with pastel Four studies of a rhinoceros Signed top left 12 1/2 " x 18 1/2" William Timym was a wildlife artist working in oils, watercolours and pastels, he was also a renowned cartoonist, he was the creator of the 'Bleep and Booster' cartoons for the BBC's Blue Peter. Additionally he was a bronze sculptor, casting many realistic wildlife sculptures. In 1990 he was awarded an M.B.E. in recognition for his work for the wildlife fund.
